This policy applies to all course purchases made on upnovainstitute.com and governs your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 (India).

Every course purchased at Upnova Institute is backed by our 7-Day Full Money-Back Guarantee. Here is exactly what this means:

• You have 7 calendar days from the date of purchase to request a full refund.
• The refund is 100% of the amount paid — not partial, not a credit.
• You do not need to give a reason — though feedback is always welcome.
• The refund is processed to your original payment method (card, UPI, bank account, or EMI — see Section 8 for EMI details).
• There is no administration fee or deduction of any kind.

Course Cancellation or Postponement by Upnova Institute

In the rare event that Upnova Institute cancels a scheduled batch before it begins, or postpones a batch by more than 30 days from the originally communicated start date, enrolled students will be offered the following options:

• Option A — Full Refund: A 100% refund of the amount paid, processed within 7 working days.
• Option B — Batch Transfer: Transfer your enrolment to the next available batch at no additional charge.
• Option C — Course Credit: Receive the full amount as credit toward any other Upnova Institute course, valid for 12 months.

Students will be notified via WhatsApp and email at least 7 days in advance of any cancellation or significant postponement. We have never cancelled a scheduled batch in our institute’s history, but this policy exists to protect your investment.

Batch Transfer Policy

If you are unable to attend your enrolled batch due to a personal emergency, scheduling conflict, or other valid reason, you may request a one-time batch transfer to the next available cohort of the same course under the following conditions:

• Batch transfer requests must be submitted at least 48 hours before the first session of your enrolled batch.
• Only one free batch transfer is permitted per enrolment.
• A second transfer request will incur a ₹1,000 administrative fee.
• Batch transfers are subject to availability — we cannot guarantee an immediate next batch if seats are full.
• Batch transfer does not extend your 7-day money-back window.

EMI & No-Cost EMI Refunds

If you purchased your course using a No-Cost EMI option through Razorpay, refunds are handled as follows:

• The refund will be processed for the total course fee paid, minus any bank-levied EMI processing charges that Razorpay cannot reverse on our behalf.
• Razorpay’s No-Cost EMI works by distributing the interest cost across your EMI tenure. If you cancel, this cost structure may result in a small administrative deduction by your bank (typically 1–3%). This is a bank-level charge outside our control.
• Upnova Institute does not retain any portion of an EMI refund — we initiate the full reversal immediately and any deduction comes from the bank or Razorpay’s payment partner.
• Ongoing EMI instalments after the refund is initiated will not be deducted from your card or bank account — the entire loan is cancelled.

Certificate & Dashboard Access After Refund

Upon successful processing of a refund:

• Your access to the student dashboard, course recordings, and all course materials will be revoked immediately.
• Any completion certificate issued will be cancelled and invalidated. Continued use of an invalidated certificate is a violation of our Terms of Service.
• Your WhatsApp student community access will be removed.
• Your data will be retained only as required by law (see our Privacy Policy).

Disputes & Escalation

We aim to resolve every refund request amicably and within 48 hours. If you feel your refund request has not been handled fairly:

• Step 1: Contact us directly on WhatsApp at +91 94774 57009 and ask to escalate to a Co-Founder.
• Step 2: If unresolved within 5 working days, you may raise a complaint with the National Consumer Helpline at 1800-11-4000 (India) or file a complaint at consumerhelpline.gov.in.
• Step 3: For payment disputes specifically, you may also contact Razorpay Support at razorpay.com/support.

All disputes are governed by the laws of India and subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in West Bengal, India.
